On Friday, January 2, Hailee Steinfeld gave fans a sweet update. The actress and singer is pregnant with her first child. She used her personal blog to share some photos. The posts included a special hint about the baby’s possible name.
One picture showed her shadow. In the photo, her growing baby bump was clearly visible. Above her shadow, a piece of art was hanging on the wall. It read, “Mothers Are Underrated.”
Another photo featured a small knitted sweater. The sweater was placed under a Christmas tree. It was embroidered with the words “Baby Beau.” This has led many to believe “Beau” could be the chosen name.
She posted more pictures looking back on 2025. Some images included her husband, NFL quarterback Josh Allen. The couple married in May of last year.
The name “Beau” is very special to Hailee. She explained its meaning in a newsletter last November. Before she was born, her parents debated between “Hailee” and “Bailee.” They chose Hailee. But they still liked the sound of “Bailee.”
“They started calling me ‘Hailee Beau Bailee,'” she wrote. “We shortened it to Beau.” She says it is a childhood nickname she has always kept.
