Madison Paige Jones: Texas Substitute Teacher & Boyfriend Charged in Child Assault Case

A former substitute teacher in Texas and her boyfriend have been arrested. They are charged with serious crimes against a child. Madison Paige Jones, 30, was arrested on December 19. Her boyfriend, Zackery Dondlinger, 37, was arrested on December 23.

Madison Jones faces multiple charges. She is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. She also faces two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact. A final charge is for possession of child pornography. She was booked into the Ellis County Jail. Her bond is set at $90,000.

Where Did She Work?

Jones worked as a substitute for the Midlothian Independent School District. School officials say her crimes did not happen at district schools. They also confirmed no district students were involved.

Records show she worked only four days in the past year. She subbed one day at Heritage High School on November 19. She also worked three days at Baxter Elementary in late October and early November.

The school district sent a letter to families. They said Jones is no longer employed there. They said their system for checking criminal history worked correctly. They were notified quickly by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Second Arrest

After Jones was arrested, police looked for a second suspect. They arrested Zackery Dondlinger on December 23 in Loving County. He is charged with sexual performance by a child. This is a serious felony charge. He is being held at the Winkler County Detention Center. He is waiting for his first court appearance.

Police confirmed Jones and Dondlinger were in a dating relationship. Authorities have not released specific details about the alleged crimes. They say the investigation is still active.
