The ongoing fallout between Brooklyn Beckham and his family continues to make headlines. The drama escalated after Brooklyn accused his mother, Victoria Beckham, of “hijacking” his first dance with Nicola Peltz at their 2022 Palm Beach wedding. He claimed that Victoria danced “inappropriately” with him, sparking widespread debate online.
Now, a source who was actually present at the wedding has clarified what really happened.
Butler Says First Dance Already Happened
According to a butler at the wedding, Brooklyn and Nicola had already shared their official first dance before Victoria stepped onto the floor. The newlyweds danced to Elvis Presley’s classic Can’t Help Falling in Love, receiving cheers and applause from the guests.
Nicola then danced with her father, Nelson Peltz, and everything reportedly went smoothly. Victoria was invited to the dance floor later, as a planned part of the reception.
The butler told The Sun:
“Nicola had already had a dance with Brooklyn and her dad. Victoria was only on the dancefloor because she was invited. It was all planned.”
What Sparked the Bride’s Tears?
According to the butler, it wasn’t Victoria’s dancing that upset Nicola. Multiple witnesses claim that the bride was already emotional when Marc Anthony called Victoria “the most beautiful woman in the room”.
The source explained:
“Put simply, she just didn’t want to share the limelight with Victoria or anyone. She’s extremely self-centered. Victoria’s two minutes on stage amid a three-day wedding was too much for Nicola.”
The butler added that Victoria has been unfairly blamed and never intended to upstage the bride.
DJ Fat Tony on the “Inappropriate” Dance
Wedding DJ Fat Tony, a longtime Beckham family friend, also spoke out. He confirmed the moment was awkward but not inappropriate.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, he said:
“There was no slut dropping, no Spice Girls actions. The word inappropriate came from the timing. Brooklyn was stuck on stage while Marc Anthony encouraged a Latin dance. It was awkward for everyone but not scandalous.”
Witnesses Contradict Brooklyn’s Claims
While Brooklyn maintains he felt “humiliated” and later arranged a vow renewal, multiple witnesses—including the DJ and the butler—say that Victoria’s two minutes on the dance floor were blown out of proportion. The Spice Girls star reportedly never intended to steal the spotlight from Nicola Peltz.
