Who is Raihan Vadra Fiance Aviva Baig? Inside the Life of the Designer & Football Star Joining India’s Political Dynasty

The son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Raihan Vadra, is engaged to longtime girlfriend Aviva Baig. The couple celebrated seven years together with a proposal yesterday, and their families are now preparing for a celebration that bridges art, athletics, and one of India’s most prominent political lineages.

A Proposal After Seven Years

Sources say Raihan Vadra, 25, proposed to Aviva Baig on the day they completed seven years as a couple. A private engagement function is planned for tomorrow, December 31, in Ranthambore, Rajasthan—a location deeply meaningful to the Gandhi-Vadra family, who are regular visitors to the national park there.

The wedding itself is expected to take place in early 2026.

More Than a Political Match: Two Creative Spirits

While the union connects two longtime family friends, Raihan and Aviva have each carved distinct paths away from the political spotlight.

Raihan Vadra: The Artistic Eye

Despite his famous family, Raihan has built an identity around visual storytelling. He followed his grandfather, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, and uncle Rahul Gandhi as an alumnus of The Doon School. He later studied politics at SOAS University of London.

His true passion, however, is photography. Specializing in street and wildlife photography, Raihan held his first solo exhibition, Dark Perception, in 2021. His artistic perspective was shaped in part by an eye injury in 2017, which deepened his focus on visual narratives. He often credits his grandfather Rajiv Gandhi’s love for photography as a key inspiration.

Aviva Baig: National-Level Footballer and Creative Designer

Aviva Baig is a dynamic and accomplished professional in her own right. She is a former national-level football player, showcasing discipline and teamwork on the field.

Her creative pursuits are equally impressive. A graduate in Media Communication and Journalism from OP Jindal Global University, Aviva works as an interior designer, photographer, and producer. She is also the co-founder of Atelier 11, a photography and production house.

She uses visual storytelling for social impact—her exhibition You Cannot Miss This at the India Art Fair aimed to raise awareness on pressing social issues.

Families with Deep Roots

The relationship is built on a foundation of long-standing family friendship. Aviva’s parents—Delhi business magnate Imran Baig and interior designer Nandita Baig—have been close to the Vadras for years. In fact, Nandita Baig previously worked with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on interior design projects.

Raihan and Aviva first met as schoolmates in Delhi before pursuing their separate creative careers—paths that have now beautifully converged.

A Celebration Amid Nature

After a private gathering in Delhi, the families will head to Ranthambore for the main engagement celebration on New Year’s Eve. The setting reflects the family’s love for wildlife and serene landscapes, offering an intimate start to this new chapter.

As preparations begin, all eyes are on this couple who embody a blend of art, athletics, legacy, and love—promising a union that is as inspiring as it is heartfelt.
