February 2026 — Garvit, the young boy who went viral for his striking resemblance to Indian cricket star Virat Kohli, has taken his internet fame a step further. He now appears in a major advertising campaign by Apollo Tyres, the official sponsor of the Indian cricket team.

The campaign, titled “Har Safar Mein Dum Hai”, also features cricket legends and current Team India players, including Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Arshdeep Singh. The ad has received widespread praise online.

From Viral Lookalike to National Ad Campaign

Garvit first grabbed attention in January after a video of him interacting with Virat Kohli during a Team India training session went viral. Fans were amused by his uncanny resemblance to the cricketer, and the clip quickly spread across social media platforms.

That moment appears to have opened doors for the young fan, leading to his inclusion in Apollo Tyres’ high-profile campaign.

What the Apollo Tyres Ad Shows

The emotional film traces the journeys of Indian cricketers from childhood dreams to international success. It highlights themes of hard work, resilience, and determination.

Garvit plays the role of a young aspiring cricketer. In one scene, he is seen riding a scooter with his father, a cricket kit slung over his shoulder. The moment reflects the humble beginnings shared by many Indian players.

The film is set to A.R. Rahman’s iconic song “Maa Tujhe Salaam” and is directed by filmmaker Abhinay Deo, adding a cinematic and patriotic feel.

Campaign Released Ahead of T20 World Cup

The release of the ad coincides with India’s preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup, adding to its emotional impact. Fans noted how the campaign connects generations of cricketers, blending legends, current stars, and young dreamers.

Praise From Cricket and Industry Leaders

The campaign has received positive feedback from both cricket officials and the brand.

Devajit Saikia, Secretary of the BCCI, said the film captures the true spirit of Indian cricket, highlighting the dedication and sacrifice needed to represent the country.

Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Apollo Tyres Ltd., described the campaign as a tribute to resilience, discipline, and consistency — values the company believes define success.

    Social Media Reacts Positively

Viewers across platforms praised the ad for its storytelling and Garvit’s inclusion. Many called his journey from viral lookalike to national campaign heartwarming and inspiring.

The blend of star power, emotional storytelling, and a touch of internet charm has made the campaign widely memorable.
