Iran has said it currently has no plans to join a second round of talks with the United States, signaling rising tensions between the two nations.
During a press briefing, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that Tehran has already informed Pakistan about what it calls US violations.
Baghaei accused Washington of breaking the ceasefire and making repeated allegations instead of taking constructive steps. He said Iran believes the US is not serious about negotiations at this stage.
He also claimed that the US position keeps changing, which makes diplomatic progress difficult. According to him, these shifting demands have become a major obstacle to restarting talks.
The spokesperson further warned that Iran would respond strongly to any aggressive move. He added that if the US and Israel choose conflict, Iran is prepared.
Baghaei also blamed the US and Israel for tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil route. He said any action affecting the region could have serious consequences.
He criticized Europe for what he described as a lack of a clear stance on recent conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. At the same time, he acknowledged Russia and China for their positions on the issue.
For now, there is no indication of immediate diplomatic progress. The situation remains tense, with both sides exchanging strong statements instead of moving toward dialogue.
