Rohit Shetty made his first public appearance days after the shocking firing incident outside his residence in Juhu. The filmmaker was spotted at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport under tight security as he stepped out to see off his son, Ishaan Shetty.
Several paparazzi videos showed the emotional moment between father and son. Rohit shared a warm hug with Ishaan and stood there for a few seconds, watching him walk inside the airport.
Emotional Goodbye At The Airport
In a video shared online, Rohit Shetty was seen stepping out of his car with security personnel around him. Ishaan, who studies at the Central Film School in London, greeted his father respectfully before the two hugged.
Security officials requested photographers to keep their distance. Despite the heavy presence of guards, Rohit appeared calm while bidding goodbye to his son.
Firing Incident Outside Rohit Shetty’s Residence
For those unaware, a firing incident was reported outside Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence on February 1 between 12:30 am and 1:00 am. The incident raised serious concerns within the film industry.
Reports state that five accused in the case have been booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999 (MCOCA). The accused were presented before a special MCOCA court. The court has remanded all five in police custody until February 17, 2026.
Film Industry Seeks Stronger Security
Amid growing security concerns, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has written to Devendra Fadnavis requesting an urgent meeting. The federation has expressed concern over repeated threat incidents involving members of the entertainment industry.
The body stated that such incidents raise questions about whether the current security system is strong enough to protect film professionals.
While investigations continue, Rohit Shetty’s airport appearance has drawn attention, showing him focused on family despite the tense situation.
