March 28, 2026: Indian actor Kiara Advani has opened up about how becoming a mother has changed her outlook on life.
After welcoming her daughter Saraayah Malhotra in 2025 with husband Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara says she now sees the world from a completely different perspective.
The actor recently spoke about motherhood and her upcoming film during an interview with Grazia.
‘I’ve Become More Protective’
Kiara shared that motherhood has made her more protective and emotionally stronger.
She said that although many parts of her relationship with Sidharth remain the same, her outlook on life has evolved after becoming a parent.
“We still enjoy travelling together and watching films. We discuss cinema like audience members as well as actors,” she said.
However, she added that motherhood has changed her emotional instincts.
“I’ve become more of a tigress. The way I see life now is through a completely different lens,” Kiara explained.
Family Time Remains Important
Even with her busy acting career, Kiara says family time remains her biggest priority.
She has spent much of the past year focusing on raising her daughter and enjoying time with her husband.
The actor stayed largely away from public events after welcoming her baby, choosing to focus on her personal life before returning to films.
Director Geetu Mohandas On Casting Kiara
Filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, who directed the upcoming film Toxic, revealed that Kiara was always her first choice for the role.
According to the director, Kiara’s screen presence matched the emotional depth needed for the character Nadia.
“She has a very human screen presence. Sometimes casting decisions come from instinct, and Kiara was always the right choice,” Mohandas said.
A Role That Tested Her As An Actor
The director also praised Kiara’s dedication to the film.
She explained that the role demanded emotional depth and physical effort. According to Mohandas, Kiara fully committed to building the character.
“She didn’t just follow direction. She helped shape the emotional journey of the role,” the filmmaker added.
