Late-night revelry in Bengaluru turned chaotic after two women, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, were involved in a violent roadside incident following a pub visit.
The incident took place late at night when the women were travelling towards JP Nagar on a two-wheeler. According to police, their bike crashed into a car from behind, triggering an argument that quickly escalated.
Eyewitness videos circulating on social media show the women shouting and abusing people on the road. Witnesses told police that during the altercation, the women allegedly assaulted the car driver and others who gathered at the spot. They were also accused of using slippers to hit people and making obscene gestures.
The situation did not calm down even after police arrived. Officials said the women continued to behave aggressively and allegedly tried to attack police personnel who attempted to control the crowd and take them into custody.
Both women were later taken to a police station, where they underwent medical examinations. Their families were informed about the incident, and after legal formalities, notices were issued before they were released.
A case has been registered at Hulimavu Police Station. Police have confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine the sequence of events and fix responsibility.
The incident has once again sparked discussion online about drunk driving, public safety, and late-night behaviour on city roads.
