Nagpur businessman Sarang Lakhanee is set to marry Revati Sule, the granddaughter of NCP president Sharad Pawar and daughter of Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule, according to PTI reports. The news gained attention after family members shared congratulatory messages on social media, sparking interest across political and business circles.
The wedding news comes even as Sharad Pawar was admitted to a private hospital in Pune on Monday following a chest infection.

The first public hint of the upcoming wedding came from Vijay Sule, Supriya Sule’s son, who posted a photograph of Revati Sule and Sarang Lakhanee on social media, captioning it: “Congrats sis and bro-in-law,” along with heart and ring emojis. Soon after, Smruti Shinde, daughter of Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde, shared a similar congratulatory message, further fueling speculation.

Who is Sarang Lakhanee?
Sarang Lakhanee hails from a prominent business family in Nagpur. He is the son of Arun Lakhani, chairman and managing director of the Vishvaraj Group, which operates in water sustainability, wastewater management, and road infrastructure development. Sarang has been associated with the group for over eight years and currently serves as its executive director.
Before joining the family business, he worked as a business development consultant with Modern Hydrogen. Beyond his professional career, Sarang is an accomplished badminton player and has represented India in national and international tournaments.
Revati Sule’s Academic Background
Revati Sule has pursued higher education both in India and abroad. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, followed by a master’s degree in public administration from the London School of Economics.

Reports suggest that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis played a role in facilitating the alliance, though no official confirmation has been made.
