Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh — March 9, 2026: A 34-year-old man from Baghpat district died under suspicious circumstances in Bulandshahr after allegedly consuming an overdose of sex-enhancement pills. Police say the woman who brought him to the hospital left shortly afterward and is now being traced.
The deceased has been identified as Vinod Kumar, a resident of Fatehpur Puthi village in Baghpat. Authorities have sent the body for postmortem while an investigation is underway.
Vinod Kumar Travelled to Meet Woman
According to Vinod’s family, he left his home on Sunday morning saying that his employer had met with an accident and that he needed to visit him.
However, around noon, a woman called Vinod’s brother Pradeep using his phone and asked him to reach Bulandshahr district hospital, claiming Vinod had met with an accident.
When the family reached the hospital, they discovered that Vinod had already died.
Woman Claimed to Be His Wife
Hospital staff told police that a woman had brought Vinod to the district hospital and identified herself as his wife.
Police said that by the time officers arrived at the hospital, the woman had already left the premises.
Her sudden disappearance has raised more questions about the incident.
Couple Allegedly Visited a Hotel Earlier
According to police sources, Vinod and the woman had first visited a hotel in Bulandshahr.
Investigators suspect Vinod may have taken an overdose of sexual enhancement pills during that time.
After leaving the hotel, the pair reportedly went to Malka Park, where Vinod’s health suddenly worsened.
Possible Heart Failure Being Investigated
Police sources say Vinod may have suffered heart failure after his condition deteriorated. However, officials stressed that the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the postmortem report.
Authorities have begun collecting evidence and speaking with hotel staff and others who may have seen the couple.
Police Searching for the Woman
The woman who brought Vinod to the hospital is now being traced by police. Investigators are trying to identify her and understand her connection to the case.
Police have started the probe based on a complaint filed by Vinod’s family.
CO City Prakhar Pandey said the body has been sent for postmortem and the real cause of death will be known once the report is completed. He also confirmed that efforts are ongoing to locate the woman involved.
