Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson shared sad news today. She posted an emotional video on Instagram. The video was about her eight-month-old twin daughters. Their names are Ocean Jade and Story Monroe.
Nelson revealed her babies have a rare genetic condition. It is called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, or SMA Type 1. This news comes months after the twins were born prematurely.

“If they didn’t have it, they would die,” she stated. “The last three months have been the most heartbreaking time of my life.”
Nelson ended with a positive thought. She said she believes her “girls will defy all the odds.”
