At least fifteen people were injured in a violent attack at a factory in Japan on Thursday, December 26th. The incident occurred at the Yokohama Rubber factory in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Local police received an emergency call around 4:30 p.m. The report stated a man had broken into the plant and was stabbing people. The caller also said an unknown liquid had been poured on some victims.
Police and emergency services rushed to the scene. According to the fire department, fifteen people were injured. All victims were reported to be conscious.
Eight of the injured were stabbed. Six others had a liquid splashed on them. The nature of the liquid is currently unknown. Eight people were taken to the hospital for treatment. The others received care at the scene.
