While exploring the scenic village, Paduhaki, who is married to a local woman from Meghalaya, noticed an Indian tourist carelessly discarding multiple plastic water bottles. Concerned about litter in such a pristine location, he approached the group and noted the car’s registration number.
Paduhaki calmly explained the importance of keeping the village clean, pointing out that dustbins were nearby. Once made aware, two people from the car collected the plastic bottles and disposed of them properly.
He said in the video:
“I live here in Meghalaya and have visited Mawlynnong several times. This gentleman just threw plastic here, but we have the registration number and the driver. Is this fine? I think it’s not. Mawlynnong is known as the cleanest village, and we need to respect that.”
