Police said the suspect entered a ride-share vehicle, allegedly assaulted the driver, and made criminal threats. Fortunately, neither the actor nor the driver sustained injuries during the altercation.
Arrest and Release
Kiefer Sutherland was arrested at the scene for making criminal threats, which violates California Penal Code section 422. He was later released on a $50,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for February 2, 2026. The actor has not publicly commented on the incident.
